Week 1 Assignment: Web Conference (Optional Activity)

As always, the web conference helped ease my mind because the participants have the same problems or concerns I do. For example, one of the most common questions was about this week’s assignment. Many of the other students voiced their concern about the overall length of the video. Dr. Kay Abernathy assured us that it should be no more than 2 minutes in length and anything longer is highly discouraged. Also, I learned that there are new guidelines for the discussion board posts. Instead of responding to two participants, we only have to respond to one colleagues writing. What I enjoy most about these web conferences is that they are very informal and encourages students to ask just about anything that they have a concern about. Dr. Abernathy and instructional associates usually quickly respond to the questions that otherwise may have taken longer if done by email. I plan to attend other web conferences throughout the length of this course in order to learn about the latest changes or ideas. Last, I acquired a team partner for the interview questions as a result of this web conference.
